Anyone else terrible at asking for help? Embarrassment and fear of rejection often hold me back. But the truth is we can’t, and shouldn’t, do everything on our own. And today I need your help, to win the fantastic BiBS 2019 awards. Let me explain why it’s worth supporting me, and how to submit your vote.

I’m absolutely thrilled that Museum Mum has been selected as a Finalist in the BiBs (Brilliance in Blogging) Awards 2019. I’m in the Best of Reviews section, alongside four other fantastic bloggers. It’s a real honour to get this far – more than 50,000 votes were cast across 14 categories for the awards which are organised by BritMums. BritMums is the UK’s largest and most influential network of Lifestyle Bloggers and Social Influencers.

If you only have a minute, then enter your email at the top, scroll down to category 13, select Museum Mum, then press the big green submit button at the end of the form.
If you have two minutes to spare, then check out the fantastic London Culture blogger Cultural Wednesday. She’s a finalist in Readers Choice, category 16, handily located just above that big green submit button.

WHY SHOULD YOU VOTE FOR MUSEUM MUM?
So, why should you take a minute to vote for Museum Mum in the BiBs2019 Awards?
In short, because it will help open up culture to even more families.
Winning a national award in a category which isn’t culture-specific would be a huge coup. It will show that families are genuinely interested in arts, heritage, museums, culture – whatever you want to call it. They are actively looking to find great cultural days out, to enjoy their family time.
The more cultural attractions that know this, the more will add to or improve their family offer. And the more will start to realise the value of working with content creators to help share their work with a wider audience.
Even more importantly, if I win, more parents will find this blog. I learnt from winning the UK Blog Awards that there’s nothing like an award win to bring a flurry of new followers. And I want more parents – actually every parent – to know that museums, the arts, and heritage are theirs to enjoy too. That they can visit cultural attractions, and have a brilliant day out, that works for everyone in the family. The BiBs2019 awards have a huge reach, so would be a great way to spread this message far, far further.
